WHAT THE HECK IS…
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
AI refers to systems that do things we used to think only humans could—like spotting patterns or generating language.
But here’s the thing: it’s not thinking. It’s just making fast, educated guesses about what usually comes next.
It’s autocomplete on a ton of data.
Sometimes it nails it.
Sometimes you invite your coworker to a brief affair instead of a briefing.
Business Intelligence (BI)
BI is using your data to make decisions—think dashboards, reports, KPIs.
But it only works if your data is clean and your questions are clear. “Garbage in, garbage out” isn’t just a saying—it’s the rule.
Pretty charts look nice.
But without context, they’re just decoration.
Automation
Automation handles the boring, repetitive stuff—moving data, sending reminders, kicking off workflows.
It should reduce friction, not create new chaos.
Good automation disappears into the background.
Bad automation needs weekly therapy and a babysitter.
